got the green light...

met with some people from the yonsei hospital general management team today.
they ok'd my plans with the caveat that my pieces (both of them) might not be placed in the desired locations (lobby and in the VIP lounge). However, they did state that the chosen locations are the most likely place that the pieces will be shown, there might be a small chance (10-15%) that they might not.

well, well, not so well

well i met with my prof the other day and he gave me the final ok on my thesis! now i just publish my thesis and check it in with the school. apparently, i have to print up my thesis and get it bound. i have to give the university 10 copies(!) so that they can keep them in the libraries and in the research facility. that's easy enough...i'm officially done with my MFA!

it also started to rain again. for the last two days it's been raining. according to naver news (the korean yahoo!) this time it's really monsoon season. in the last 4 monsoon seasons, this one is a bit early. usually monsoon season is from mid-late july to mid august. i don't mind all this rain this summer...in fact many of you know that i love rain so it's all good. but all i have to say is f-in global warming (which is, subsequently, my current #1 reason not to have children)

so these days i have been not-so-busy which the yonsei hospital project. the unsettling part of this is that i still have not received an OK on my proposal. i called and they said that it would be just a couple of more days. but i got that response last week. however just in case i get a later (then earlier) response, i've started on making molds and creating the first batch of sperm. you can see my flickr set here.

my interesting boxer dream...

so apparently i fell asleep wearing my boxers backwards. so the front was in the back and the back was in the front. kinda like kriss-kross - as in they make you wanna jump jump jump. if you don't know them, well maybe you are lucky.

anyways, back to my story. i've been known to do stranger things, but last night i somehow managed to sleep in awkward fashion. i had this interesting dream where i was filling in for my mentor while she stepped out of class. i was teaching her class and the while feeling terribly uncomfortable. i was trying to change my boxer configuration, but there was a whole class of kids with all eyes on me. makes changing your underwear hard to do. i had a whole slew of dreams and eventually woke up. initially i didn't really look back on the dream and think it was all that interesting...it wasn't until i went to the bathroom and realized that my boxers were indeed on backwards.

ok well enough of that...

Confusing Weather...

It's been raining like crazy for the last few days. If i didn't know better i would think it was monsoon season already...nearly two months early. I remember when i arrived in korea in august of 2004. it started pouring right away...like for a week. i thought it was the coolest thing...never have been through a monsoon.

but here we are in june and it's raining again. lots of people here are just saying it's just rain. i dunno..global warming is a funny thing.

going down to Daegu today to visit my uncle. to think all this time i have been in korea, i never visited any of my relatives...hmmm

Another Round...

Well, the defenses are over...for now.
i guess there were three outcomes: fail, rewrite, pass

fail: your done, you get another change next semester

rewrite: touch it up and turn in again (another defense?)

pass: hoorah!

we all got rewrites...which in my opinion is as good as passing as it seems like a formality. they want everybody to make their near perfect papers better.
